Free Online Resume Builder Canada

Type your details on the left and a clean, Canadian-standard one-page resume builds itself on the right — then export it as a vector-text PDF with your browser's print dialog. Everything runs on your device; nothing is uploaded and there is nothing to sign up for.

🍁 Canadian resume norms ATS-friendly single column Letter or A4 Works offline

1 · Contact details

Canadian resumes lead with contact details, not personal information.

No photo, age or marital status — Canadian employers expect those left out.

2 · Professional summary

Two or three lines: who you are, your years of experience and one measurable win.

0 / 400 characters

3 · Work experience

List roles newest first. Use months, not days: “Mar 2022 – Present”.

4 · Education & skills

Skip “references available on request” — recruiters assume it.

5 · Format options

Match the paper size to the printer you will use before exporting.

How it works

Three steps, no account, nothing to install.

1 · Fill in your details

Contact block, summary, roles, education and skills. Everything is optional — the preview shows exactly what will print.

2 · Watch it fit

The page badge counts real printed pages. If your content spills onto page 2 it tells you how many bullet lines to trim.

3 · Print or copy

Export PDF opens your browser's print dialog — choose “Save as PDF”. Or copy the ATS plain-text version straight into an application form.

Built for the Canadian job market

The details that get resumes rejected — or parsed cleanly by an applicant tracking system.

🍁 Canadian conventions

No photo, birth date, marital status or SIN. Province comes from a fixed list of the 13 provinces and territories, and dates are written the way Canadian recruiters read them.

🤖 ATS-parseable by design

One column, standard section headings, real selectable text, no tables, text boxes or icons that a parser reads as garbage.

📄 One page, measured live

The page counter uses real millimetres for Letter and A4, so what the badge says is what the printer does — no clipped last line.

🔒 Private by default

There is no server round-trip and no save button: your history never leaves the browser, and closing the tab clears it.

🔤 Accents and long links

French-Canadian names such as Amélie, Côté or Lévesque and long portfolio URLs wrap inside the column instead of overflowing.

🖨️ Prints without colour

Section rules are real borders, so the structure survives a black-and-white printer or a browser that drops background colours.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free — no watermark, no sign-up?

Yes. There is no account, no email gate and no watermark. The PDF comes out of your own browser's print dialog, so the file is generated on your device with nothing stamped on it.

Should a Canadian resume include a photo, age or marital status?

No. Canadian employers avoid those fields for human-rights reasons, and they can hurt you with US or ATS screening. This builder leaves them out on purpose.

How do I actually save the PDF?

Click Export PDF / Print and choose “Save as PDF” (Chrome, Edge and Firefox) or use the PDF dropdown in the macOS print dialog. Set the print paper to Letter or A4 to match the page size you picked here, and leave margins at default — the layout supplies its own.

Will applicant tracking systems read this resume?

The output is a single column of real text with standard headings (Professional Summary, Work Experience, Education, Skills), which is what parsers handle best. For web forms that ask you to paste your resume, use “Copy as plain text”.

What if my resume runs past one page?

The badge switches to a warning and displays “Page 2 of 2”, plus an estimate of how many bullet lines to trim. Text is never silently cut off: you always see the true page count. Two pages are acceptable for senior, technical or academic roles.

Is my work history stored anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser; there is no backend for this tool, no cookie-based draft and no analytics on your content. Refreshing or closing the tab discards it, so export before you leave.

Letter or A4, and which date format?

Use Letter for Canadian and US employers; A4 if you are applying abroad or printing on international paper. Keep one date format throughout — “Month YYYY” (March 2022) reads most naturally to Canadian recruiters.
