Free QR Code Generator
Turn any link, text, email address or WiFi network into a QR code and download it as PNG or SVG in seconds. Everything is generated in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and no account is ever needed.
Generate your QR code
Live preview - the code rebuilds on every keystroke, entirely on your device.
Your QR code
no code yetEnter text or a link to generate a QR code.
PNG is rendered at the size you pick; SVG is vector and stays sharp at any print size.
Settings
No "generate" button - every change is applied instantly.
A missing https:// is added automatically so the code always scans as a link.
How it works
Three steps, roughly thirty seconds, no account.
Type or paste a link, a menu address, an email or a WiFi string. Pick the matching type so the placeholder guides you.
Choose the pixel size for PNG, the error-correction level and the code colour. The preview updates instantly and tells you when something will scan poorly.
Save a PNG for screens and social posts, or an SVG for the print shop. No watermark is added and the file is yours to use anywhere.
Why this generator
Built for the "kostenlos" search intent: fast, private and free of clutter.
No trial, no email gate, no per-scan subscription. Generate as many static QR codes as you need.
Your download is a clean code - nothing is stamped into the middle of it and no branding is added.
Encoding happens in your browser. Your links, WiFi passwords and text never reach a server.
SVG export is real vector art, so your printer can scale it to a poster without a single blurry module.
The content lives inside the code itself. Nothing expires, nothing can be redirected after you print.
Low-contrast colours, oversized content and missing https:// are flagged before you send anything to print.
QR codes that scan every time
A quick checklist from the print shop perspective.
Bigger is safer: a business-card code should be at least 2 cm wide, a poster code scales with viewing distance.
Keep the foreground dark and the background white. Inverted or pastel codes often fail on older phone cameras.
Scan the exported file once from paper, in the real light, before you order 5,000 flyers.
FAQ
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no scan limit and no paid tier. Because the code is generated on your own device, running it costs us nothing and it costs you nothing.
Do my QR codes expire?
No. The content is encoded directly into the pattern (a static QR code), so it keeps working forever - as long as the link you encoded stays online.
PNG or SVG - which should I download?
Use PNG for websites, social posts and screens at the pixel size you selected. Use SVG for anything printed: it is vector artwork that scales to a poster or a billboard without losing sharpness.
Which robustness level should I choose?
M is the balanced default. Choose H when the code will be printed small, on a curved surface or with a logo covering part of it. Choose L only when you need to squeeze in very long content.
Why does my QR code not scan?
Usually contrast, size or a missing quiet zone. Keep the 4-module white border on, keep the foreground dark, print at 2 cm or larger and always test-scan the final file.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The encoder runs as JavaScript in your browser and the preview is drawn on a canvas on your device. Nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored - not even in your browser.
