Pricing with the rate field — and the extras it does not know about
Type a rate per square foot and a total cost row appears; leave it blank and the row stays hidden. The maths is deliberately transparent: total area multiplied by rate. At ₹65 per sq ft, 360 sq ft is ₹23,400, and 120 sq ft for one room is ₹7,800.
The most frequent quoting error we hear about is a mismatch between the rate's unit and the area's unit. Use the calculator as a cross-check, not as a contract. Ask the vendor to show their own area working, and compare it against yours; a difference of a few square feet is normal on measured site work, a difference of 20% usually means someone multiplied a rate in the wrong unit.
